SSP: SSSTS/SMSTS/TWC Courses and Renewals
All delegates have until 30 April 2021 to join a SSSTS/SMSTS refresher course, if their current certificate expired after 1 October 2020.
Any delegate whose certificate expired before 1 October 2020 will be required to join a full SSSTS/SMSTS course, rather than the refresher equivalent.
If your employee needs to retake their Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor training, many providers are now offering these courses online. We would only recommend online for those that have previously taken the course, and are experienced TWC/S. If your workers are new to temporary works, we would recommend waiting until face-to-face training resumes.
Remember, training is not included in the list of ‘reasonable excuses’ to leave home during lockdown, and construction is not listed as one of the courses which should continue face‐to‐face training.
