CONSTRUCT Day Returns to Celebrate the Triumphs of the Concrete Structures Industry

CONSTRUCT Concrete Structures Group – the trade association for the concrete structures sector – has announced the go ahead for CONSTRUCT Day and Awards on 1 October 2021, after a year of event cancellations and postponements due to COVID-19. CONSTRUCT is prepping for a bigger and better flagship event in 2021 in a brand-new venue.

Tobacco Dock is one of the capital’s largest event spaces, and this year it will host CONSTRUCT Day. The larger space has opened up greater prospects for the event, and means that if social distancing measures are required, the size of CONSTRUCT Day will not be diminished. The event is currently planned to go ahead as normal in line with the current Government roadmap, however, CONSTRUCT has made provisions should the situation change.

The new venue will allow for a larger exhibition space, and this year CONSTRUCT has planned for the exhibition to be more interactive than in previous years. Guests will have the opportunity to view live demonstrations from leading suppliers in the sector in the outdoor courtyard area. CONSTRUCT Day is a fantastic opportunity to network with key players in the concrete structures industry.

Guests will also enjoy a delicious three-course meal in Tobacco Dock’s impressive Great Gallery. The association will once again raise money for its official charity, the Lighthouse Club, which supports construction workers with mental health and other crisis, including a helpline and a support fund.

CONSTRUCT Day will also feature entertainment from a guest speaker, which will be announced shortly.

CONSTRUCT Day is held in conjunction with the CONSTRUCT Awards which recognise excellence, capability and innovation in the concrete structures sector. There are four award categories to enter which include projects, health & safety, young achiever and unsung hero. You can enter the awards on CONSTRUCT’s website, and entries close on 25 June 2021, with the shortlist announced August 2021 and the winners announced at CONSTRUCT Day.

With the new venue, there are now more opportunities for sponsors to promote their brand in front of the industry’s key players. Tobacco Dock offers a vast range of branding opportunities throughout the venue, so with our various sponsorship packs, sponsors can get their brand seen by all. CONSTRUCT Chairman, Neil Marney, said:

“On behalf of CONSTRUCT, it’s my pleasure to announce CONSTRUCT Day 2021. I want this to be a shining showcase of what the concrete structures industry has to offer, and to be able to celebrate the work that we have achieved after facing such difficult challenges and restrictions over the last year. But above all else, I look forward to the sector being brought together in person again at the much-anticipated flagship event!”
