Lee Brankley, Chief Executive Officer of the reinforcing steels certification authority, CARES, has joined as a Council Member of Construct, bringing with him very extensive experience in the steel industry, spanning more than 25 years.
Lee’s overarching focus on the Council will be to extend and deepen the senior level relationships he has built with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors, consultants, designers, and specifiers. The pace of change has accelerated with regulatory and digital priorities now front of mind for all those who share CARES commitment to deliver safe, sustainable, and quality steels backed up by the digital assurance and product provenance CARES schemes bring to the industry.
Lee has been CEO at CARES for the past seven years – earlier he enjoyed several senior roles rising to become General Manager before he was appointed CEO in 2015. Since then, he has transformed CARES operational capability and accelerated CARES’ international reach with offices in Hong Kong and Singapore as well as launching CARES schemes across Australasia.
During the pandemic Lee oversaw CARES transformation to remote assurance and certification services while also devising and delivering a new brand strategy recently launched across all 50 international markets in which CARES now operates.
