Macauley Stock – Junior Quantity Surveyor of Southern Concrete
Macauley has shown a high level of commitment and dedication to his role at Southern Concrete, and strives to work to the best of his ability, pushing himself further every day to improve his skills. Starting out at the company as a Carpenter, Macauley is now in his final year of his five-year part-time Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying at Westminster. Although Macauley’s role is predominantly office-based, he has shown great initiative by trying to better his knowledge of RC
frameworks by putting on his tool belt and going on site. This has enabled him to get clarity on issues from clients, resulting in prompt responsiveness to the issue, dealing with them in a professional manner. The judges agreed that Macauley’s proactive nature was worthy of the Young Achiever Award, and his extracurricular work outside of his role proves his conscientious attitude, which is great to see in the next generation.
